Abstract	The issue of criminal liability for law-enforcement officers accused of torturing suspects is analyzed. The historic analysis and system analysis of criminal regulations that define the liability of torturing suspects are conducted. Imperfection of criminal legislation is shown and possible ways of its improvement are proposed.
